HARLANDS GROUP – Statement Concerning COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Monday 6th April 2020

On Friday 20th March 2020, the Government issued a directive calling for all leisure facilities to close their doors.

We want to reassure you that our member services team is still working hard to support you. This team is now working remotely, to accommodate this we’ve had to make some temporary changes to the way we operate:

  • Telephone lines are closed until further notice
  • We are open 8am-5pm on weekdays
  • Email support only

These changes have been made to allow us to migrate our team to this new way of working effectively and ensure we are best placed to serve you going forward.

Delayed Response Times

Please expect a delayed response, we have received an extraordinarily high volume of demand over the recent days and weeks and are working hard to get back to you as soon as possible.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to you.

We understand that you will be worried about the impact of COVID-19 and wanted to reassure you that we’re here to help with any worries you might have about your finances. Supporting you is our absolute priority and we’re working hard to make sure we’re here to help.

email member.services@harlandsgroup.co.uk. Please be assured, if you have contacted us about your query or request that you do not need to email again, and our team will be in touch with you as
soon as possible.

Cancellation Requests

Subject to the policy of your leisure facility and terms of your membership, if you have contacted us to request your membership be cancelled, this will be actioned from the date of your email. Where a payment has been collected in the interim period, you will receive a refund to your bank account
within 3 weeks.

Freeze Requests

Subject to the policy of your leisure facility and terms of your membership, if you have contacted us to request a membership freeze, this will be actioned from the date of your email. If a payment has been collected in the interim period, you may receive a refund based on your provider’s policy, we will confirm this based on your circumstances.

How You can Avoid Catching or Spreading Germs


  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (NOT your hands) when you cough or sneeze.
  • Put used tissues in the bin immediately.
  • Wash your hands with soap & water often (use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available)
  • If hand sanitiser gel is available in a public place, take the opportunity to use it.
  • Try to avoid close contact with people if they are unwell.
  • If you feel unwell or show any signs of virus symptoms, please avoid public places.


Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if they are not clean.

Symptoms of Coronavirus:

  • A Cough
  • A High Temperature
  • Shortness of Breath

But these symptoms do not mean you necessarily have the illness. The symptoms are very similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.

If you are personally present with these symptoms or are in contact with and someone who exhibits these indications, then please return to your home and contact the NHS on 111.

NHS 111 has an online Coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you on what to do. 

Please use this service if:

  • You think you might have Coronavirus.
  • You have been to Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Italy, Iran, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam in the past 14 days.
  • You have been in close contact with someone with Coronavirus.

What an amazing and friendly Gym environment. My partner and I were worried at first because its new to us. The staff however have welcomed us with open arms and helped us fit right in. My partner did a spin class for the first time this morning and loved the fact that Chloe pushed her to her limits and got the most out of the experience. I would recommend this Gym to everyone.
